In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I believe that the strength of the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of therapy. My work with you is individualized. While I expect that your first visit may bring up some jitters, please know that your journey will be a team effort. I'll help you through the process. I'll encourage you to bring your laundry list of items you'd like to discuss. While we may not get to cover everything on your list, it's important that I get a basic sense of what you're facing. I listen closely to determine your particular needs while taking into consideration your background, strengths and goals. After a review of your information, mutually we'll chart a course of treatment for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions.

Active listening and humor has aided the process of quickly engaging clients in the therapeutic process. It has also helped many to find ways to draw on their unrealized inner strength. By learning the value of giving themselves permission to use their ingenuity while remaining solution focused, real sustainable change has occurred. Clients quickly accept and learn that navigating turbulence in life is something they can achieve. By applying complementary therapeutic approaches and techniques, my clients have been assisted with adjusting age-old behavior patterns, or negative thought perceptions that may have held them back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. As a part of this therapeutic team, I'm present, versatile viewing each client as an individual while meeting each where they are at. Mutual accountably is also encouraged.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve.

I applaud your efforts for moving one step closer to making changes in your life that can lead you to new ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. Needless to say it takes courage to reach out. I work best with individuals like yourself, that are motivated toward selfcare if they initially feel uncomfortable with doing so. Your investment in you can reap satisfying returns.
